The Mixer Cover Collection

Thanks to a customer and her special request, I set about making a cover for a KitchenAid Stand Mixer. She loved it - and so I gave it another attempt and came up with this:

It's done in Robert Kaufman's Mixers in Spring from the Metro Cafe Collection. I made a generously sized pocket for stashing the mixer accessories (or whatever else your heart desires). I lined it in batting and a coordinating solid aqua fabric.

Most covers you see out there are done in a quilted fabric - which is usually done to provide stability, but I have found that with the appropriate lining you really don't need the quilting, and I think the result is a cleaner, more contemporary look.
